H. R. 31--"Urging the citizens of West Virginia to buy West
Virginia products to help in the economic growth of West
Virginia."
Whereas, The State of West Virginia can benefit immensely if
its citizens would purchase West Virginia products; and
Whereas, A greater multiplier effect takes place in West
Virginia's economy when goods and services are bought in state
instead of out of state; and
Whereas, Such a change in purchasing behavior would keep
money in the State and greatly boost West Virginia's economy,
increase profits of West Virginia businesses, and increase wages
for West Virginia's workers; and
Whereas, Other benefits of buying in-state products would
include the creation of secondary jobs, increases in West
Virginia tax revenues, decreases in total unemployment and
unemployment insurance costs; therefore, be it
Resolved by the House of Delegates:
That the House of Delegates of the West Virginia Legislature
hereby urges the citizens of West Virginia to buy West Virginia
products to help in the economic growth of West Virginia.
